Uzbekistan Consul Visits PITO: Bridging Cultures Through Porcelain

Porcelain carries a legacy of thousands of years, while the Silk Road continues to create new chapters.

As a key hub along the ancient Silk Road, Uzbekistan has long maintained close connections with China through geographical proximity, cultural ties, and centuries of trade and cultural exchange.

Recently, Mr. Bakhtiyor Mirzaev, Consul of Commerce from the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Guangzhou, visited the Greater Bay Area Headquarters of PITO — a porcelain tableware manufacturer rooted in Chaozhou’s intangible cultural heritage — for an in-depth business and cultural exchange. During the visit, he explored PITO’s intangible cultural heritage porcelain craftsmanship, premium diplomatic tableware, and comprehensive commercial tableware solutions for luxury hotels, experiencing the artistry of Chaozhou porcelain and the elegance of Oriental dining aesthetics.

This visit marked a new chapter in the friendly exchange of porcelain culture and commercial cooperation between China and Uzbekistan.

01 Immersive Experience: Discovering the Beauty of Oriental Porcelain Art

Accompanied by Ms. Lin Xiaoqin, Assistant to the Chairman of PITO, the delegation visited the Intangible Cultural Heritage Chaozhou Blue and White Porcelain Culture Museum, premium tableware showroom, and dining aesthetics experience center.

Through an immersive tour, the guests gained a comprehensive understanding of PITO’s brand heritage, craftsmanship, and product capabilities — from handcrafted ceramic tableware to advanced modern firing techniques.

At the Blue and White Porcelain Heritage Exhibition Area, the Consul experienced traditional Chaozhou blue and white porcelain techniques, including hand-painted decoration and traditional firing methods, gaining deeper insights into the inheritance and innovation of Chaozhou’s thousand-year-old ceramic culture.

From classic blue and white porcelain patterns to contemporary minimalist designs, and from handcrafted artistry to advanced modern firing techniques, the Consul highly praised the cultural value and artistic appeal of Chaozhou’s intangible cultural heritage ceramics.
