Sixteen Leading Restaurant Brands Convene in Chaozhou to Explore New Growth Pathways Under China’s Consumption-Boosting Agenda

Chaozhou, China, January 26, 2026 — In line with China’s Ministry of Commerce placing “boosting consumption” at the top of its eight key priorities for 2026, founders and senior executives from 16 leading hotel and restaurant brands in Guangdong Province gathered at the Chaozhou Greater Bay Area Reception Center to discuss new strategies for industry development.

The forum, titled “How Can the Catering Industry Break Through Under the New Consumption-Boosting Agenda,” was jointly organized by PITO and FoodBond. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on how the hospitality and catering sector can align with national policy initiatives, including targeted consumption programs, the development of the “Shop in China” national brand, and the cultivation of new growth drivers in service consumption.

The hotel and restaurant industry is a core component of service consumption, closely linked to employment, livelihoods, and the long-term sustainability of hospitality enterprises. Drawing on policy trends, market realities, and corporate practices, participants exchanged insights and explored practical approaches for restaurant brands to strengthen competitiveness and achieve differentiated growth.

PITO, a leading high-end Chinese porcelain brand, has long positioned the inheritance and promotion of China’s traditional culture as a central mission. Through collaborations with prominent cultural and creative institutions and leading art academies, the company has developed commercial porcelain, lifestyle tableware, and premium gift collections that integrate traditional cultural heritage with contemporary design. These products aim to enable domestic and international consumers to experience both refined craftsmanship and the enduring appeal of Chinese culture.

The tableware used at the forum’s dinner was drawn from the PITO × The Beijing Imperial Court co-branded collection, “Auspicious Clouds Offering Blessings.”

FoodBond, a comprehensive platform rooted in the catering industry, is headquartered in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area, serves clients nationwide, and is expanding into international markets. Its services include restaurant education, professional training, industry study tours, and private board-level exchange events. The gathering was a PITO-exclusive private board members’ dinner hosted under the FoodBond platform.

The evening’s banquet was prepared by two culinary teams: one led by Chen Jianyu, a renowned Cantonese chef from the Greater Bay Area, and the other by the Shunde Dim Sum Association. Both teams emphasized seasonal sourcing, global ingredient selection, and craftsmanship-driven innovation in their culinary presentations.

Organizers described the forum as the first long-table forum and fine dining event of 2026, highlighting a new development model characterized by deeper integration between the restaurant industry and cultural brands. The event aimed to respond to national consumption-boosting policies, explore actionable pathways for restaurant brand development, and demonstrate how traditional Chinese culture can support the real economy through commercial application.
