Porcelain as a Cultural Bridge: PITO Concludes Three Major Cultural Events and Invites the World to Frankfurt 2026

When intangible cultural heritage blue-and-white porcelain meets contemporary design, and Eastern aesthetics engage in dialogue with global audiences, PITO has recently hosted three significant cultural exchange events at its Chaozhou Blue-and-White Porcelain Cultural Center—using ceramics as a bridge for cross-cultural communication and sounding a confident prelude to its continued expansion into international markets.

Masters Empower Heritage

A Two-Way Encounter Between the National Games IP and Intangible Cultural Heritage

On February 2, the Chaozhou Blue-and-White Porcelain Cultural Center welcomed a distinguished guest. Accompanied by Chairman Dai of Guangqing Group, Professor Liu Pingyun, Dean of the School of Visual Art & Design at Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, paid a visit to the center.

As the chief designer behind the mascots “Xiyangyang” and “Lerongrong” of the 15th National Games, Professor Liu has successfully integrated the cultural DNA of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao into a vivid and widely beloved cultural icon.

During his visit, Professor Liu experienced firsthand the distinctive aesthetic of Chaozhou blue-and-white porcelain, characterized by its signature technique of single high-temperature firing, where cobalt patterns emerge vividly through the glaze. He expressed strong recognition of PITO’s commitment to preserving intangible cultural heritage while advancing contemporary design innovation.

Notably, PITO serves as an official gift supplier for the 15th National Games, seamlessly integrating the craftsmanship of Chaozhou blue-and-white porcelain with the prestige of this major sporting event. On site, Professor Liu personally signed a “Greater Bay Area Chicken” themed collectible, marking a meaningful cross-industry collaboration between intangible cultural heritage and a national sports IP, and adding lasting cultural value to this commemorative piece.

A Cross-Border Encounter

The Brazilian Consul General Discovers the Beauty of Chaozhou Porcelain

On February 4, Mr. Alan Coelho de Séllos, Consul General of the Federative Republic of Brazil in Guangzhou, together with Deputy Consul General Mr. Enrico Diogo Moro Gomes, visited the PITO Chaozhou Blue-and-White Porcelain Cultural Center for an immersive exploration of Chaozhou porcelain culture.

Guided by the PITO team, the delegation observed the full traditional production process—from clay forming and hand-painting to kiln firing—gaining close insight into the craftsmanship behind this centuries-old heritage. The Consul General spoke highly of the refined motifs, cultural symbolism, and profound Eastern aesthetics embodied in the porcelain.

At the heritage experience area, Mr. de Séllos paused to examine the delicate surface textures, inquired in detail about pigment formulas and painting techniques, and enthusiastically documented the visit with photographs. He remarked, “The craftsmanship of Chaozhou blue-and-white porcelain is truly astonishing. It is an artistic treasure that transcends borders.”

PITO extended a warm invitation for a future visit to its Chaozhou factory and showroom to further explore the living heritage production process, while reaffirming its commitment to promoting bilateral cultural and commercial exchange between China and Brazil.

Academia Meets Industry

Exploring New Pathways for the Contemporary Revitalization of Heritage

Also on February 4, accompanied by Mr. Wen of Jianwen Youfang, a distinguished delegation including Mr. Liu Shou’an, Director at Peking University, along with representatives from China Guardian Cultural Technology, including Wang Hua and Yue Chongwen, visited the Chaozhou Blue-and-White Porcelain Cultural Center for an in-depth cultural study.

Long engaged in research and practice in heritage preservation and innovation, the delegation sought to explore the cultural essence and contemporary activation pathways of Chaozhou blue-and-white porcelain.

Touring the craftsmanship exhibition area, curated collections, and cultural creative spaces, the guests gained a comprehensive understanding of the porcelain’s historical origins, technical heritage, and contemporary design transformation. Mr. Liu Shou’an highly praised PITO’s philosophy of “honoring tradition without rigidity and innovating without losing authenticity,” noting that Chaozhou blue-and-white porcelain is not only a craft treasure but also an important carrier of Chinese cultural heritage.

From the perspectives of cultural industry operations and IP development, Wang Hua, Yue Chongwen, and other guests engaged in in-depth discussions with the PITO team on heritage commercialization and cross-industry collaboration, laying the groundwork for future cooperation in expanding the global reach of Chaozhou porcelain culture.

Upcoming Highlight · PITO Returns to Ambiente Frankfurt

Cultural dialogue continues, and global expansion advances. From February 6–10, PITO will make its second appearance at Ambiente Frankfurt, the world-renowned international consumer goods fair in Germany. Bringing together nearly 5,000 exhibitors from over 170 countries and regions, Ambiente stands as one of the most influential trade platforms in the global consumer goods industry.

Building on its successful debut, PITO’s participation this year marks a strategic upgrade. Through in-depth analysis of past exhibition data and precise positioning of global market demand, the company has sharpened its focus on order conversion and commercial results. Three months ahead of the fair, PITO launched targeted invitations to international buyers, presenting multiple best-selling collections that integrate intangible cultural heritage craftsmanship with contemporary design.

Competing alongside established European brands under its independent label PITO, the company aims to demonstrate to global buyers the craftsmanship excellence and cultural depth of Chaozhou—the porcelain capital of China.

From welcoming academic leaders and design masters, to engaging in cross-cultural dialogue and advancing its global exhibition strategy, PITO remains firmly centered on Chaozhou blue-and-white porcelain—revitalizing intangible cultural heritage in contemporary life and sharing Eastern aesthetics on the world stage.

Whether through culturally driven collaborations or pragmatic market expansion, PITO continues to fulfill its founding vision: “To bring Chaozhou porcelain to the world—and to let the world fall in love with Chaozhou porcelain.”
