Luxury Hotel Tableware Case: Fairmont Hotel Katara Towers Lusail

The Fairmont Qatari Hotel in Lusail and the Raffles Hotel in Doha share the Qatari Tower—one of the region’s most iconic luxury hotel landmarks.
The Qatari Tower’s shape resembles two crossed traditional Arabic scimitars, a core visual element of the Qatari coat of arms. The building presents Qatar’s national image directly on the skyline. Locals consider it a symbol of pride and a modern landmark. It opened grandly on the eve of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and hosted numerous global dignitaries and international celebrities during the tournament. After the World Cup, the Qatari Tower continued to garner international attention for Qatar.
In a five-star hotel focused on design aesthetics and guest experience, every detail embodies the brand’s values. Spatial design, service processes, even the tableware—everything must be consistent with the hotel’s overall image.
In 2021, Fairmont Doha launched a custom-designed hotel tableware procurement process, seeking partners who understood the hotel’s design philosophy and could integrate the architectural features into the dining experience.

During the selection process, Fairmont Doha evaluated over 100 tableware manufacturers and hotel porcelain suppliers worldwide.
For high-end hotels, tableware must not only meet daily operational needs but also become an integral part of the guest experience. Many suppliers can provide products that meet standard specifications, but few can interpret the hotel’s architectural language and translate it into bespoke tableware designs.
PITO’s design team drew inspiration from the hotel’s most iconic architectural elements. The curves of the Twin Towers became the starting point for this bespoke porcelain project.PITO’s original design team extracted the visual language of the architectural curves and translated it into decorative patterns on the plates, creating bespoke tableware for Fairmont Doha.

These patterns echo the hotel’s architectural style while maintaining the elegance and timeless beauty required of a luxury hotel.
It is this direct design connection from architecture to table that sets PITO apart from other ceramic tableware manufacturers and makes it a long-term partner of Fairmont Doha. This custom-designed plate collection is primarily used for Fairmont Doha’s in-room dining service, providing guests with a private and personalized dining experience in their own private space.

Room service is entirely different from restaurant dining—it’s about the guest’s experience in their private space. The tableware delivered to the door not only holds the food but also reflects the hotel’s attention to detail and quality.
As a professional hotel tableware supplier, PITO crafted this collection using high-quality bone china. The warm texture, pristine white glaze, and exquisite decorative details perfectly complement the modern luxury of Fairmont Doha. From in-room breakfast to afternoon tea, every piece of tableware seamlessly connects architectural aesthetics with the service guests enjoy.

Since their collaboration began in 2021, PITO and Fairmont Doha have established a long-term partnership.
This project is more than just a custom tableware order; it’s a shared expression of both brands’ philosophies and design values. PITO transformed the building’s curves into a visual language on the dining table, helping Fairmont Doha extend its spatial aesthetics to the tableware design, making it an integral part of the guest experience.
For PITO, collaborating with international five-star hotels signifies much more than simply providing high-quality ceramics—it’s about leveraging our design, craftsmanship, and manufacturing capabilities to create bespoke branded catering solutions for high-end hotels worldwide.
