From Chaozhou Kilns to Naples: P&T Royal Ware (PITO) Brings Chinese Porcelain to the World Stage of Intangible Cultural Heritage

From September 15-17, 2026, the Vera Pizza Napoletana Champion 2026 was held at Ristorante della Piscina at the Mostra d’Oltremare exhibition centre in Naples. Organized by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (AVPN), the event brought together more than 355 pizza makers from 30 countries, competing across seven categories including Margherita, Marinara, Pizza Fritta, Calzone, and Gourmet. The competition returned the question of what makes a pizza truly authentic to the birthplace of Neapolitan pizza.

This time, P&T Royal Ware (PITO), a premium Chinese tableware brand, made its appearance in Naples as the sponsor of the championship prizes and AVPN’s sole partner in China.

Pizza is a culinary tradition that has flowed through Naples for centuries. Porcelain represents an Eastern craft passed down from generation to generation.
Great food deserves great tableware. A well-crafted piece of tableware is not only a vessel for food, but also an expression of culture. As pizza masters shape and refine the flavour of their dough by hand, P&T Royal Ware (PITO) uses porcelain as its language bringing the aesthetics of the Chinese table to the international culinary stage.
From professional hotel tableware manufacturing to deeper participation in international culinary and cultural exchange; from serving five-star hotels and state banquet settings in China to appearing at leading European culinary events, P&T Royal Ware (PITO) continues to connect cultures through the language of tableware.
Chaozhou Blue-and-White Porcelain Meets Neapolitan Dough
On one side is the centuries-old kiln tradition of Chaozhou. On the other is the Art of Neapolitan Pizzaiuolo, inscribed on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Two traditions built on the belief that craft is culture came together in Naples in 2026.

This connection has been taking shape for some time.
In 2025, the AVPN China · Guangzhou Branch was officially established, bringing authentic Neapolitan pizza-making techniques to China. P&T Royal Ware (PITO) subsequently hosted a number of public exchanges in Guangzhou and Chaozhou around the theme of intangible cultural heritage blue-and-white porcelain × world intangible cultural heritage pizza, bringing Eastern porcelain painting and Western pizza-making together.
By September 2026, the journey had come full circle from bringing international standards into China to bringing Chinese tableware to the world. As a partner, P&T Royal Ware (PITO) took its place at the table of the Neapolitan championship final.

With more than four decades of family heritage rooted in Chaozhou, P&T Royal Ware (PITO) remains committed to the craftsmanship of Chaozhou blue-and-white porcelain, an intangible cultural heritage tradition.
For P&T Royal Ware (PITO), the goal is not simply to create high-quality tableware. Through porcelain, the brand seeks to build a bridge between cultures bringing Eastern craftsmanship and global culinary culture into dialogue and allowing each to discover and inspire the other.
From the Presidential Palace of Tajikistan and the Parliament of Thailand to the EMAAR hotel group in Dubai, as well as Michelin-starred restaurants and state banquet settings in China, P&T Royal Ware (PITO) has spent the past decade and more pursuing the same goal: bringing high-end Chinese porcelain into settings where performance and quality are put to the test.
AVPN 2026 simply moved this table to the birthplace of pizza.

At the Naples championship, P&T Royal Ware (PITO)’s custom tableware was presented as an honorary prize to the world’s leading pizza masters.
These pieces of Chinese tableware represented more than a competition award. They brought together two forms of craftsmanship: the pursuit of culinary excellence on one side, and the pursuit of precision in porcelain-making on the other.

Objects may be silent, yet they can cross the boundaries of language.
Looking ahead, P&T Royal Ware (PITO) will continue to take part in international culinary and hospitality exchanges around the world, using porcelain as a bridge and sharing the story of a Chinese tableware brand going global.

From Chaozhou to Naples, one enduring kiln flame brings the flavours of the world to the table.
