P&T Royal Ware Welcomes “Vocational Education Going Global” Program, Exploring New Paths for International Talent Development

On August 26, participants of the Advanced Training Program on Key Capabilities for International Education under the “Vocational Education Going Global” initiative visited P&T Royal Ware (PITO) for an enterprise visit and an immersive cultural heritage learning experience. The participants came from dozens of higher vocational institutions across Guangdong Province, including Guangdong Industry Polytechnic University, Shunde Polytechnic University, Guangdong AIB Polytechnic, Yangjiang Polytechnic, Shantou Polytechnic, and Heyuan Polytechnic. Their academic backgrounds covered a wide range of disciplines, including English, tourism services, finance and business, educational psychology, and transportation.
Centered on the theme of “Going Global: Enterprises × Products,” the training program explored internationalization through a combination of industry insights and cultural practice at P&T Royal Ware, a Chaozhou-based porcelain tableware manufacturer with decades of export experience.
The delegation visited P&T Royal Ware’s Intangible Cultural Heritage Blue-and-White Porcelain Museum and product showroom, gaining an in-depth understanding of the brand’s heritage and industry practices.
P&T Royal Ware’s story can be traced back to 1982, when Xu Yilong began with customized porcelain products and adopted the Chinese character “Pai” as the product mark, marking the beginning of the family’s long-term exploration of porcelain craftsmanship and the dining experience. In 2003, the P&T Royal Ware brand was officially established, opening a new chapter of modern brand development.
Over more than four decades, P&T Royal Ware has combined traditional porcelain craftsmanship with contemporary design and advanced manufacturing technologies, gradually expanding from China to international markets. In 2026, P&T Royal Ware was officially recognized as a municipal-level intangible cultural heritage protection organization for the Chaozhou Blue-and-White Porcelain Firing Technique.

In terms of industrial capabilities, P&T Royal Ware operates a 40,000-square-meter smart manufacturing base in Chaozhou, with four major porcelain systems covering Fine Bone China, Fine China, Fine Porcelain, and Royal White Porcelain.
P&T products have reached more than 100 countries and regions worldwide, serving prestigious projects including the Presidential Palace of Tajikistan, the Parliament of Thailand, Emaar hotels in Dubai, Canton Tower, and Forbidden City cultural and creative projects. P&T is also a vice-chairman unit of the China Hotel Supplies Association, with a long-standing focus on the hospitality and foodservice industry.

During the sharing session, Lin Xiaoqin, Assistant General Manager of Guangdong P&T Porcelain, joined the event and delivered a presentation on “Going Global: Enterprises × Products.” She shared P&T’s practical journey from taking products to international markets, to building an international brand, and ultimately advancing the internationalization of the enterprise itself.
She emphasized that successfully bringing products to international markets requires the coordinated development of five capabilities: product, market, channel, brand, and localization. Going global is never the responsibility of the foreign trade department alone; rather, it requires the internationalization of the entire organization.
Moving from “Made in China” to “Brand from China” remains an ongoing direction in P&T’s international development.

02 Intangible Cultural Heritage Experience: Making Traditional Craftsmanship Tangible and Engaging

During the porcelain painting experience, participants picked up their brushes and personally painted traditional blue-and-white patterns onto porcelain panels.
From learning about a traditional technique to experiencing firsthand the relationship between brushstrokes and the porcelain surface, traditional craftsmanship became something participants could see, touch, experience, and take part in.
P&T’s Intangible Cultural Heritage Chaozhou Blue-and-White Porcelain Museum has developed an immersive cultural experience system built around “seeing, listening, touching, tasting, and sharing.” This approach transforms intangible cultural heritage from something displayed behind museum glass into a cultural memory that can be touched, experienced, and carried with you.
P&T has always believed that the internationalization of enterprises and the internationalization of vocational education can mutually empower one another.
Enterprises can provide vocational education with authentic international business cases and practical environments, while vocational education can help businesses develop talent with an international perspective and professional capabilities.
This is also why P&T continues to participate in the “Vocational Education Going Global” National Training Program, while opening its facilities for enterprise visits and intangible cultural heritage experiences.
Guided by its brand mission, “Create the Happy Memories At Your Table,” P&T will continue to deepen its practice of industry-education integration, using porcelain as a medium to connect industry and education, and contributing the strength of the industry to the international development of Chinese vocational education.
