Ghanaian Members of Parliament Visit PITO: Exploring Ceramic Smart Manufacturing and Experiencing Intangible Heritage Blue-and-White Porcelain Art

Recently, a delegation of Members of Parliament from Ghana paid an official visit to PITO. More than a cultural exchange, the visit provided an in-depth look into China’s high-end porcelain tableware manufacturing industry, offering insights into how a leading Chinese ceramic manufacturer integrates intangible cultural heritage with modern intelligent manufacturing capabilities.

The visit began at the Intangible Cultural Heritage Chaozhou Blue-and-White Porcelain Museum. After appreciating the rich history and artistic craftsmanship of traditional blue-and-white porcelain, Mr. Xu Hongsheng, General Manager of PITO, introduced the company’s industrial development strategy. He explained how PITO has evolved from an intangible cultural heritage enterprise into a modern high-end porcelain tableware manufacturer serving global hospitality and commercial markets.

PITO is not only a preserver of traditional porcelain culture, but also a trusted OEM/ODM porcelain tableware supplier. The strength of the PITO brand is reflected in the successful delivery of numerous international high-end projects. Its products have been used at national-level events such as the APEC Summit and China’s National Games banquets, and have also been presented as state gifts to foreign heads of state and government officials. In addition, PITO has provided professional hotel tableware and customized porcelain solutions for the Presidential Palace of Tajikistan, the Parliament of Thailand, the French Presidential Delegation to China, as well as many presidential residences and international five-star hotel groups worldwide.

PITO’s three appearances in the China Pavilion at the World Expo further demonstrate its status as both a “China Export Commodity Brand” and a “Chinese Intangible Heritage Brand of the World Expo.” To date, PITO has served more than 1,000 government institutions, luxury hotels, restaurant brands, and renowned international clients around the world.

To deepen the delegation’s understanding of traditional ceramic craftsmanship, the parliamentarians were invited to experience blue-and-white porcelain painting firsthand. Under the guidance of skilled artisans, they painted delicate lines on porcelain plates themselves. One parliamentarian remarked after the experience: “This requires tremendous patience and stability. Only by trying it personally can one truly understand the craftsmanship behind a fine porcelain piece and appreciate China’s pursuit of quality manufacturing.” Such firsthand experience proved more persuasive than any statistics.

During the subsequent discussion session, conversations focused on manufacturing capabilities and international supply services. The PITO team systematically presented its comprehensive system for deep customization development, flexible manufacturing, and large-scale bulk tableware production. Discussions centered on specific product standards, production processes, and supply chain management, making the exchange both practical and productive.

The visit concluded in a warm and cordial atmosphere. The delegation members not only took home hand-painted blue-and-white porcelain pieces as souvenirs, but also gained a clear understanding of China’s high-end ceramic manufacturing industry and hospitality tableware sector.

PITO’s successful integration of intangible cultural heritage craftsmanship with modern intelligent manufacturing, along with its professional delivery capabilities for international top-tier projects, left a deep impression on the guests. The visit further strengthened PITO’s professional image as a reliable Chinese high-end porcelain tableware brand.
