Ceramic Manufacturers in China: OEM/ODM for Tableware Buyers

China remains the world’s largest source of ceramic tableware and porcelain tableware. For buyers weighing ceramic manufacturers in China, the question is not which factory exists, but which one can deliver consistent quality, own factory control, and real customization. This page introduces P&T Royal Ware, our materials, our OEM/ODM process, and how we support hospitality buyers from concept to replenishment.

Who we are

P&T Royal Ware is the export brand of Guangdong P&T Porcelain Co., Ltd. Our roots go back to 1982, when the family began making bespoke porcelain in Chaozhou, one of China’s oldest porcelain regions. P&T Royal Ware and PITO are hospitality tableware brands operated by Guangdong P&T Porcelain Co., Ltd. We formally launched the PITO brand in 2003 and have since built a presence across professional hospitality. Read our full company story for the details of our heritage and values.

We are not a trading company. We are a manufacturer with an integrated base in Chaozhou, Guangdong. Design, sampling, firing, decoration, and quality control all stay under one roof. Ceramic manufacturers who keep these steps together give a buyer one accountable source from sample to reorder.

Why source from a Chaozhou porcelain maker

Chaozhou has supplied porcelain for centuries, and that heritage shows in the local supply chain. What matters to buyers is not heritage alone, but the depth of the local ceramic supply chain and the manufacturer’s ability to control production, decoration, and finishing. Among ceramic manufacturers in the region, our integrated base stands out because raw material mixing, kiln control, decal printing, and foot finishing sit close together. For a buyer, the practical gain is fewer handoffs between unknown vendors and a clearer line of accountability when a batch needs to match.

Our production base

Our Chaozhou facility covers more than 40,000 square meters. It employs over 250 people and runs five production lines with 24 kilns. Single item annual output reaches beyond ten million pieces. More than 20 technical and management staff each hold over 20 years of ceramic industry experience.

These numbers matter to buyers because they turn into three things: stable lead times, consistent batches, and the capacity to scale a program across many locations. We run our own 24 kilns. Ceramic manufacturers who fire in house keep batches matched instead of letting them drift between subcontractors.

The material range

Hospitality tableware is not one material. We build across five bodies, each for a different service scene. This matters for ceramic tableware and ceramic dinnerware buyers who compare bodies by use:

  • Fine bone china. Contains bone ash, typically 45 percent in our standard body and up to 52 percent in our highest formulation. Thin, bright, and translucent, it suits premium dining where hand feel and presentation lead.
  • Fine china. A bone-ash-free body in our product range, developed to provide a refined appearance with a practical midweight profile for higher-volume hospitality service.
  • Fine porcelain. Fired once at around 1320°C. A dense, commercial grade body built for high frequency use such as buffet and banquet.
  • Royal white porcelain. One quiet, uniform white tone. We fire the body at 700°C to 800°C and the glaze at 1320°C. It is the choice when a brand wants one consistent white across every piece and every location.
  • Color glaze porcelain. For branded color and decal programs.

The kilns, the glaze lab, and the decal shop share one site, so this range sits under one roof.

OEM and ODM customization

Most of our hospitality work is custom. Ceramic manufacturers weighing OEM/ODM options come to us because we spec from your use case, not a stock catalog, and run complete programs for ceramic dinnerware buyers. Customization covers four areas:

  1. Shape. Plate diameters, bowl depths, cup profiles, and stack heights matched to your menu and storage.
  2. Glaze and color. Solid tones, reactive glazes, and brand specific colors mixed to your sample.
  3. Decoration. Decals, printed patterns, and edge lines, including hotel logos where the art is dishwasher safe.
  4. Branding. Subtle foot marks or visible logos, per your brand guideline.

We start every program from your use case, not from a catalog. Tell us the menu, the service type, and the quantity, and we spec the pieces around them.

Quality system and certifications

Ceramic manufacturers with ISO 9001 are common; consistent reorders are not. Our factory is ISO 9001 certified for quality management, but reorders also match because we keep the same approved sample and the same batch process, not because a certificate alone locks the color and foot. Our products meet food contact standards including FDA, LFGB, and EC, and our social compliance is audited under BSCI. We also hold AEO export certification. Behind the certificates, our after sales covers the globe and our customer complaint rate stays below 0.5%.

A tableware program, not a one off order

We treat each project as a tableware program, not a single purchase. Ceramic manufacturers who plan for replenishment, not just the first shipment, are the ones hotels keep as suppliers. The flow looks like this:

  1. Concept and menu analysis
  2. Material and shape selection
  3. Custom design
  4. Sampling
  5. Operational testing at your site
  6. Production and quality control in our own factory
  7. Delivery with par level planning
  8. Replenishment through agents in multiple countries

This is how a hotel opening or a restaurant chain rollout stays consistent from the first shipment to the fifth reorder.

Where we serve

We supply distributors, agents, importers, and direct hospitality buyers across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and the Americas. We keep brand showrooms in Italy and Germany and a network of agents from the Gulf to Southeast Asia and beyond. Local language support and after sales coverage back these markets, so ceramic manufacturers buying through us reach help without a trader in between.

What to prepare before you brief a manufacturer

A short brief saves weeks. Before you contact P&T Royal Ware, pull three things together: your menu and plating style, your expected volumes by cover or seat, and your brand assets such as color and logo files. With those in hand, we move from a generic catalog to a spec built around your service in one round, instead of several.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Are you a factory or a trading company?

We are a manufacturer. Our integrated base in Chaozhou handles design, firing, decoration, and QC. You work with the maker directly, not a reseller.

Q: What is your minimum order quantity?

Standard items start at 500 pieces. Custom shapes and decals are quoted per project, since tooling and sampling add steps. Tell us your expected quantity and we will spec the run.

Q: Can you match our brand color and logo?

Yes. We mix glaze and decal colors to your approved sample and apply logos where the decoration is wash safe. Send your brand guideline and we start from there.

Q: Do you hold food safety certifications?

Our products meet FDA, LFGB, and EC food contact requirements, and our factory is ISO 9001 certified. BSCI audits our social compliance. Ask our team for the current certificates for your market.

Start your tableware project

If you are comparing ceramic manufacturers in China, tell us about your program. When you contact P&T Royal Ware, share four things: your project type (new opening, renovation, or expansion), your service concept (fine dining, banquet, buffet, or cafe), your expected quantity (by cover or seat), and your customization need (shape, glaze, decal, or brand color). We will come back with a spec and a timeline.
