When Guangning’s Culinary Heritage Meets Chaozhou Porcelain Art: A “Taste of the Future” Feast Connecting Guangzhou
In March 2026, the “Connecting Guangzhou, Co-Creating the ‘Taste’ of the Future” Spring Gathering and Ingredient Tasting Event—hosted by the Guangning County Culinary Association and co-organized by PITO—successfully concluded at the Chaozhou Greater Bay Area City Reception Hall.
The event brought together numerous Cantonese cuisine masters from the Guangning County Culinary Association, alongside more than ten premium ingredient suppliers from across China. Set against the warm luster of PITO tableware, participants used cuisine as a bridge and tableware as a medium to explore the limitless possibilities of Cantonese culinary innovation and supply chain collaboration.

Known as the “Hometown of Cantonese Chefs,” Guangning boasts a rich culinary heritage and abundant bamboo-region ingredients. Hosting the spring gathering in Guangzhou underscores the city’s role as a key gastronomic hub in the Greater Bay Area. As a ceramic brand deeply rooted in intangible cultural heritage and cultural innovation, PITO is honored to serve as the “tableware partner” of this event—facilitating a meaningful dialogue between millennia-old porcelain craftsmanship and contemporary culinary artistry.

Curated Connections: A Premium Ingredient Showcase
This gathering functioned not only as an internal reunion for the association, but also as a high-level ingredient selection event.
Within the thoughtfully arranged exhibition space at the PITO Cultural Center, over ten premium suppliers presented a diverse range of ingredients. From Guangning’s signature bamboo-region agricultural products to high-end seafood and imported steaks, each ingredient was artfully displayed on PITO plates, emphasizing its natural quality and authenticity.

Renowned Cantonese chefs moved between booths not merely as visitors, but as discerning evaluators. They carefully assessed the appearance of each ingredient, sampled its natural flavors after simple preparation, and engaged in detailed discussions with suppliers regarding origins and supply chain management. This event combined exhibition with a rigorous quality control process—from source to table.

Co-Creation Through Porcelain: Exploring PITO’s Cultural Heritage
During the event, culinary masters, guided by PITO’s team, toured the PITO Intangible Cultural Heritage Chaozhou Blue-and-White Porcelain Museum.

Here, they encountered more than tableware—they witnessed the legacy of Chaozhou kiln craftsmanship spanning over a thousand years. From clay preparation and wheel throwing to glazing and high-temperature firing, from traditional blue-and-white patterns to modern minimalist designs, each piece embodies the philosophy that “objects carry the aesthetics of life.”
The chefs experienced firsthand the delicate texture of bone china (52% bone ash content) and observed the interplay of form, light, and shadow. They understood that a perfect dish requires not only exquisite taste, but also the appropriate vessel to elevate it.

A Taste of the Future: Banquet in the Multifunction Hall
As evening fell, the highlight of the event unfolded in PITO’s multifunction hall.
Under the theme “Co-Creating the Taste of the Future,” the banquet transformed the day’s premium ingredients into a showcase of culinary artistry. PITO porcelain (fired at 1320°C) served not merely as containers, but as a medium connecting gastronomy, art, and emotion.

A series of dishes blending Cantonese culinary tradition with innovative creativity were presented:
- A Harmony of Land and Sea: Lobster paired with roasted pork—one side offering sweet, tender freshness from the ocean, the other delivering rich, crispy indulgence of meat. Presented on PITO’s uniquely partitioned plates, the two flavors achieved a delicate balance within a single composition.
- The Warmth of Medicinal Cuisine: Stewed pigeon with five-finger peach root, featuring a clear broth infused with subtle coconut aroma. Served in a refined porcelain bowl, it preserved the distinctive Lingnan flavor while conveying the philosophy of seasonal, nourishing eating.
- Bamboo Essence of Guangning: Fresh bamboo shoots paired with seasonal seafood, presented in a celadon-toned deep plate, where the gentle sheen of porcelain enhances the natural colors of the ingredients.

Throughout the banquet, Guangning’s culinary masters and Guangzhou’s supply chain leaders exchanged ideas over elegantly presented dishes. Holding fine tableware, they experienced the concept of “tableware as the attire of cuisine.” Beyond the food itself, these exchanges fostered deeper discussions on menu development, tableware pairing, and supply chain optimization.

This spring gathering, hosted by the Guangning County Culinary Association and co-organized by PITO, successfully connected industry resources while exploring the “Gastronomy+” concept. PITO believes that true advancement in the culinary sector lies in cross-industry collaboration and shared creation.
Looking ahead, PITO will continue to use porcelain as a bridge, partnering with authoritative organizations like the Guangning County Culinary Association and high-quality supply chain collaborators to build more diverse platforms for exchange. The company is committed to making ceramic art—rooted in Eastern wisdom—a strong link between farms and fine dining tables (One-Stop Hospitality Tableware Solution), contributing to a better lifestyle worldwide and co-creating a more exciting “taste of the future” with the global hospitality community.
