PITO Shines at the Visit Malaysia Year 2026 Gala Dinner

Using Porcelain as a Bridge to Write a New Chapter in China–Malaysia Friendship

On May 9, the “Visit Malaysia Year 2026 Gala Dinner,” hosted by the Guangdong Office of the Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce, was held at the Garden Hotel Guangzhou. PITO, as a representative of China’s ceramics industry, was invited to attend the event. PITO showcased several signature collections on site, including the Palace Museum co-branded dinnerware collection, the dinnerware collection used during French President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to China, and the Guangzhou Gift co-branded mugs. The company also presented its mascot, “Fu Dun Horse,” as a special gift to Mr. Kuan Yu Xin, President of the Guangdong Office of the Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce, using porcelain as a cultural bridge to celebrate the friendship between China and Malaysia.

The gala dinner was themed “Deepening China–Malaysia Friendship and Promoting the Integration of Culture, Tourism, and Trade,” while closely aligning with the sustainability theme of Visit Malaysia Year 2026. The event highlighted three key Malaysian tourism resources: eco-tourism, cultural heritage, and culinary experiences.

Mr. Harris Alwi, Consul General of Malaysia in Guangzhou, attended the event alongside consuls general and diplomatic representatives from Singapore, Japan, Peru, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and other countries, as well as renowned entrepreneurs and industry leaders from both China and Malaysia.

As one of the invited featured brands, PITO carefully presented three major product collections at the venue:

Palace Museum Co-Branded Dinnerware Collection

Inspired by the architectural spirit of the Forbidden City, this collection blends thousand-year-old porcelain craftsmanship with modern design aesthetics. Through high-temperature glazing techniques, it recreates the purity and grandeur of royal colors, bringing the elegance once reserved for imperial courts into contemporary everyday life.

“Fu Dun Horse” Presented as a Symbol of China–Malaysia Friendship

During the gala dinner, PITO specially prepared a meaningful gift for Mr. Kuan Yu Xin, President of the Guangdong Office of the Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce — the company’s mascot, “Fu Dun Horse.”

Designed around a reddish-brown horse, “Fu Dun Horse” symbolizes prosperity, success, and forward momentum. The mascot combines PITO’s signature Oriental aesthetics with traditional Chinese auspicious cultural elements.

After receiving the gift, President Kuan expressed his appreciation, noting that PITO’s dedication to craftsmanship and its heartfelt expression through porcelain beautifully reflect the shared aspirations for a better life and the deep friendship between the people of China and Malaysia.

PITO Supports New Opportunities in China–Malaysia Trade Cooperation

Through visual presentations, videos, and live sharing sessions, the gala showcased Malaysia’s diverse tourism attractions in a comprehensive and immersive way. Guests experienced the tropical charm of Sabah’s crystal-clear islands, Sarawak’s rainforest ecology, the rich heritage of Penang and Malacca, the urban vibrancy of Kuala Lumpur, and famous local specialties such as Musang King durian, white coffee, and Nyonya cuisine.

The year 2026 marks not only Visit Malaysia Year, but also China’s APEC year, creating new opportunities for deeper China–Malaysia cooperation.

Visit Malaysia Year 2026 carries the theme:

“Malaysia Truly Asia, Surreal Experience.”

Standing at the new milestone of the 52nd anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia, PITO will continue to use quality as its foundation and design as its bridge, bringing the craftsmanship and beauty of Chinese porcelain to promote deeper exchanges and cooperation between the two nations in tourism, culture, and trade.
