Overseas Chinese Gather in Haizhu · Porcelain Connecting the World — PITO Joins Hands with the Haizhu Overseas Chinese Reception Hall to Launch a New Journey for Intangible Cultural Heritage Going Global

On March 3, the 2026 Haizhu District Overseas Chinese New Year Reception and Exchange Conference, themed “Overseas Chinese Supporting High-Quality Development in Haizhu,” was held at the Chaozhou Greater Bay Area Reception Center located at PITO Porcelain.

Attending leaders included Jiang Fan, Deputy Director of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Guangzhou Municipal Committee and Director of the Guangzhou Overseas Chinese Affairs Office; Wang Fujun, Member of the Standing Committee of the Haizhu District Committee and Minister of the United Front Work Department; Zeng Zhiyong, Executive Deputy Minister of the Haizhu District United Front Work Department and Director of the Haizhu Overseas Chinese Affairs Bureau; and Cai Ying, Director of the Haizhu Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Chair of the Zhi Gong Party Haizhu District Committee, among others.

As a Vice President unit of the Haizhu International Chamber of Commerce, PITO witnessed the official unveiling of both the Haizhu Overseas Chinese Reception Hall and the Haizhu Overseas Partner Service Center. Using intangible cultural heritage porcelain as a cultural link, the initiative establishes a strong platform for international economic, trade, and cultural exchange.

On the day of the event, more than 30 overseas Chinese leaders and entrepreneurs from over 20 countries and regions—including the United States, Italy, and Germany—gathered with municipal and district officials as well as representatives of overseas Chinese enterprises to celebrate the New Year and explore opportunities for cooperation and development.

As a Vice President unit of the Haizhu Overseas Chinese Business Association, Xu Hongsheng, General Manager of Guangdong PITO Porcelain, noted during the exchange that the company would take this event as a new starting point to further promote the inheritance and development of intangible heritage blue-and-white porcelain craftsmanship. Leveraging the unique advantages of the “Haizhu Overseas Partner” mechanism, PITO will make use of the global networks and business channels of overseas Chinese communities to expand its international presence and bring Chinese ceramics that embody traditional aesthetics onto the global stage.

According to reports, the City Reception Center hosted by PITO complements the newly established Haizhu Overseas Chinese Reception Hall in function. Supported by overseas Chinese enterprises, the reception hall features dedicated spaces such as a Blue-and-White Porcelain Cultural Gallery and intangible heritage workshops, closely aligning with PITO’s long-standing commitment to preserving and promoting traditional blue-and-white porcelain craftsmanship.

During the event, guests toured PITO’s exhibition of intangible heritage ceramic works and expressed admiration for the artistic beauty of Chaozhou blue-and-white porcelain, often described as being “formed in a single firing beneath white glaze, with patterns vividly revealed through the glaze.” Many overseas Chinese leaders expressed strong interest in potential collaboration, laying a solid foundation for future cross-border trade partnerships.

As a representative overseas Chinese enterprise deeply rooted in the ceramics industry, PITO has consistently placed culture at its core while building on a strong industrial foundation, achieving notable results in both heritage preservation and international expansion. Today, PITO products are sold in more than 90 countries and regions worldwide, with distribution partners in over 30 countries. By combining the strengths of “culture + manufacturing,” the company has become an active contributor to the “Guangzhou Products Going Global” initiative.

With the support of Haizhu District’s “1+8+N” business and overseas Chinese service system and the Overseas Partner mechanism, PITO will further connect with global resources. The company plans to strengthen cooperation with European cross-border e-commerce platforms and overseas warehouse networks in New Zealand, promoting the strategic transformation of intangible heritage ceramics from “product export” to “cultural export.”

Xu Hongsheng noted that the establishment of the Haizhu Overseas Chinese Reception Hall represents a new milestone for PITO. On one hand, the company will continue refining traditional blue-and-white porcelain craftsmanship while launching new ceramic collections that combine traditional elegance with contemporary aesthetics. On the other hand, it will deepen collaboration with overseas Chinese entrepreneurs worldwide and participate in international events such as the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Enterprise Globalization Summit, enabling the thousand-year-old ceramic kiln fire to shine anew in the modern era and contributing to Haizhu’s high-quality development and global cultural exchange.

The successful hosting of this event not only highlights PITO’s dual strengths in intangible cultural heritage preservation and international trade, but also marks a new step in leveraging Haizhu District’s overseas Chinese resources to promote the global development of China’s cultural heritage industries.

Looking ahead, PITO will continue to build bridges through overseas Chinese networks and connect the world through porcelain—preserving China’s rich cultural heritage while creating broader platforms for international cooperation and allowing the world to further discover and appreciate Chinese ceramics.
