“Imperial Color, Ceramic Future” International Product Launch Held in Guangzhou

Guangzhou, China, Dec. 18, 2025 — The international launch of the premium ceramic collection “Imperial Color, Ceramic Future” was held at Gongmei Port in Guangzhou, co-hosted by Beijing Imperial Court Cultural Development Co., Ltd. and Guangdong PITO Technology Co., Ltd. The event brought together leaders and experts from the Palace Museum, consuls general from multiple countries, representatives of chambers of commerce, and domestic and international distributors to witness the global debut of a collection that integrates the aesthetics of the Forbidden City with contemporary design.

Inspired by the architectural heritage of the Forbidden City and traditional imperial attire, the collection reinterprets iconic motifs such as “Auspicious Crimson Clouds” and “Layered Eaves in Polychrome.” Palace Culture provides the cultural foundation, while PITO translates these symbols into modern, functional ceramics through refined craftsmanship, presenting royal elegance in a contemporary context.

In his remarks, Pei Huanlu, former Party Secretary and Executive Vice President of the Palace Museum, said the institution carries the responsibility of preserving and transmitting China’s 5,000-year cultural heritage. He noted that the collaboration between Beijing Imperial Court and PITO represents a meaningful integration of traditional culture and modern manufacturing, allowing Palace aesthetics to enter daily life with enduring cultural value.

The event opened with a performance of Yingge Dance, a national intangible cultural heritage of the Chaoshan region, whose commanding style reflected the spirit of Forbidden City aesthetics. Ding Ding, Head of Beijing Imperial Court, said:

“The beauty of the Forbidden City belongs not only to China, but to the world. Through cross-disciplinary and cross-industry collaboration, we hope to bring its outstanding culture into contemporary life.”

Xu Ruisheng, Head of PITO Technology, added:

“This partnership is not only a demonstration of manufacturing capability, but also a deep exploration of expressing Forbidden City aesthetics through modern ceramic design. By embedding culture at the core of our products, we aim to build a premium brand with lasting vitality.”

During the product presentation, models dressed in imperial-inspired attire showcased the ceramic pieces, highlighting their courtly elegance. Through lighting, movement, and form, the display conveyed the concepts of “wearable art” and “tabletop aesthetics,” receiving positive responses from both domestic and international guests.

Several international attendees commented that the “Imperial Color, Ceramic Future” collection successfully integrates rich cultural heritage, contemporary design, and advanced manufacturing, offering global consumers a new perspective on Chinese culture and demonstrating strong international market competitiveness.

The launch marks the establishment of a global-oriented model for “Forbidden City Lifestyle Aesthetics,” underscoring innovation in cultural industry development and illustrating how China’s high-end cultural consumer goods can effectively engage international markets.
